FileonClean (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a file management application that helps users organize photos, videos, audio files, archives, and other file types stored on their device. The App can analyze storage usage, display space consumption per file category, and delete unwanted files to free up storage space. Most operations occur entirely on your device, ensuring strong privacy by design.

This document explains how we handle information, what third-party services may be involved, your privacy rights, and the terms under which you may use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Local File & Storage Access

To deliver its core functions, FileonClean requires permission to access your device’s file storage. This includes reading file categories, calculating storage usage, and deleting unwanted files.

All of these operations happen locally on your device; the App does not upload your personal files to any server.

1.2 Personal Data

FileonClean does not collect, store, upload, or sell:

• Personal files (images, videos, audio, archives, documents)
• Contact information
• Content of any files
• User-generated content
• Sensitive personal data

The App itself is designed to function offline and without accessing any personal data by default.

2. Third-Party Platforms, Analytics & Attribution

While core functions operate locally, certain versions of FileonClean may use limited third-party services to improve stability or understand general app usage patterns.

These services never access your personal files and are used only if explicitly permitted by you.

2.1 Firebase Services

We may use Firebase products such as:

• Firebase Analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics (error reporting)
• Firebase Performance Monitoring

These tools may collect:

• App usage events
• Device model, OS version
• App performance data
• Crash logs

All Firebase data is:

• Non-personal
• Aggregated
• Used only to fix issues, improve performance, or understand trends

You will always have the option to opt out of Firebase-based analytics in the App settings.

2.2 Attribution Platforms

If used, attribution SDKs (such as Adjust or AppsFlyer) help measure:

• Install sources
• Campaign performance
• High-level engagement metrics

These platforms may collect non-identifiable technical information, such as:

• IP address (anonymized or truncated)
• Device model
• App version

These tools do not access personal files or sensitive content.

You may disable attribution tools at any time through the App’s privacy settings.

3. Data Sharing & Selling

3.1 Data Sharing

We do not share any personal data because none is collected.

If optional analytics tools are enabled:

• Only anonymized or aggregated technical data may be shared with trusted third-party providers
• This data does not include personal files or identifiable content

3.2 Data Selling

FileonClean does not and will not sell your personal data.

3.3 User Right to Opt-Out of Sharing/Selling

At any time, you may:

• Disable optional analytics tools
• Decline data sharing
• Request confirmation about whether your information is shared or sold

4. Data Retention

Because FileonClean does not collect or store personal data, we retain no personal information.

If optional analytics tools are enabled:

• Data is retained only for as long as necessary for operational purposes (e.g., crash diagnosis)
• Retention periods are defined by each third-party service and can be requested via our DPO

5. User Rights

Depending on your region (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the following rights:

5.1 Right to Access

You have the right to ask whether FileonClean collects or processes personal data.

Current answer: No personal data is collected.

5.2 Right to Correction

If future versions collect personal data (with consent), users will be able to request corrections of inaccurate data.

5.3 Right to Know (Sharing & Selling)

You may request details about:

• What data is collected
• Whether data is shared
• Whether data is sold

FileonClean currently does none of the above.

5.4 Right to Opt-Out

You may decline:

• Analytics
• Attribution
• Crash reporting
• Any form of data sharing

Opt-out options will always be available within the App.

5.5 Right to Deletion

Since FileonClean stores no personal information, there is no data to delete.

If optional analytics are enabled, you may request data deletion from our DPO.

5.6 Right to File a Complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your region if you believe your rights were violated.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable, our processing activities rely on:

6.1 Legitimate Interest

• File access for calculating storage usage
• Performing functions you intentionally request (e.g., deleting unwanted files)

6.2 Consent

• Optional analytics (Firebase Analytics, attribution SDKs, etc.)
• Any processing beyond core functions

You can withdraw consent at any time.

7. Children’s Privacy

FileonClean is not intended for children under the minimum legally required age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Updates will appear in the App or on our website. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

10. End-User License Agreement (EULA)

10.1 License Grant

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use FileonClean on supported devices.

10.2 Restrictions

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, modify, or decompile the App
• Attempt unauthorized access to internal components
• Use the App for unlawful or commercial exploitation
• Redistribute or resell the App

10.3 Ownership

All intellectual property—including trademarks, logos, software code, UI design—belongs to FileonClean.

10.4 No Warranty

The App is provided “as is,” without warranties of:

• Accuracy
• Reliability
• Performance
• Fitness for a particular purpose

10.5 Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for:

• Accidental file deletions
• Data loss initiated by the user
• Device issues caused by misuse
• Indirect or consequential damages

10.6 Termination

We may suspend or revoke your license if you violate these terms.

You may terminate the agreement at any time by uninstalling the App.
